GC: Project Dust becomes From Dust
(via Xboxyde) -- The Project Dust announcement nicely surprised us during this last E3. This downloadable 'populous-like' game, developed by the mythical Eric Chahi, now gets a new name, From Dust, a technical demo trailer, an image gallery and some artworks. More info in the press release.

Guitar Hero project director discusses aiming for the 'core' audience

Arkane Studios acquired by Zenimax new project to be announced soon
(via Xbox 360 Fanboy) - Even Bethesda can't resist releasing some (tangentially) BioShock-related news today. During QuakeCon, Bethesda's Pete Hines announced that parent company Zenimax has acquired Arkane Studios, who most recently worked on level design for BioShock 2. The developer is also responsible for Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

Lenovo side project to launch Xbox 360 / Kinect knockoff in China: hello, eBox
(via Engadget) - Well... this is interesting. Prior to Kinect hitting the masses in November, one Eedoo looks to be doing the world one better (or worse) with the eBox. In what can only be described as a bizarre tale of mystery, a Lenovo co-founded company has decided to produce what amounts to an Xbox 360 knockoff as well as a motion sensing peripheral that unquestionably takes inspiration from Kinect.

THQ's 'Kids, Family and Casual' branch revealing new project next Tuesday

During the publisher's investors call earlier today, CEO Brian Farrell explained that the company "will be unveiling an innovative new product a week from tomorrow in New York," later adding "we look forward to its launch this holiday season.

Molyneux revels in the controversy over Milo, shares insights on project’ s status

Sony Studio Liverpool staffing up for new project, probably not Wipeout

Realtime Worlds reveals Project: MyWorld
(via Xbox 360 Fanboy) - Realtime Worlds just released APB, but it's already hard at work on its next huge online game, which appears to be a ... real-time world. "Project: MyWorld," which RTW expects to release "early next year," is a social game based on a detailed model of the Earth. Players can build structures in a virtual version of real space, and open those spaces up to interaction with friends.

Boy, have you seen this indie Terminator project?
