Left 4 Dead 2 gets bots and SDK fixes in update, 360 patch coming soon

News: Rebellion apologises for AVP demo issues
(via EuroGamer) - PC stuff fixed, investigating PS3 reports. Rebellion has apologised for problems affecting matchmaking on the PC and PS3 versions of the Aliens vs. Predator demo released yesterday. While the Xbox 360 version was not affected, PC owners had issues joining games until a Steam patch was issued later in the day, and PS3 problems may be ongoing - Rebellion has said it's investigating reports.

(via Engadget) - It's been no secret that original Xbox games have been the vestigial limb holding back much wanted features including raising the limit on our friends list to over 100 or mobile tie-ins, and on April 15 all that will come to an end. Even those Xbox Originals downloaded to the 360 or played via backwards compatibility will be cut off, so we'd suggest getting those last few rounds of Halo 2 in now or at least look into an alternative solution like XBConnect.

Case Closed On Mass Effect 2 And The Curse Of The Tiny Text Mass Effect
(via Kotaku) - Like some other 360 titles like Dead Rising, Mass Effect 2 has tiny text, which users on small TVs and with poor eyesight are having trouble reading. Is BioWare going to fix the problem? Nope. Just like Dead Rising, it's no easy fix, and since BioWare feel it affects only "a small portion of SDTV owners", they "are unable to resolve it for Mass Effect 2 through a title update".

PS3 worldwide sales cross 30 million
(via Joystiq) - Adding up Sony's quarterly sales numbers for the PS3, including the 6.5 million Q3 sales it announced yesterday, Shacknews arrived at a new estimate for the console's life-to-date sales total: 33.71 million units. That's just about half of the Wii's most recent total of 67.
